NOTICEABLE NEON – NOT TO BE IGNORED!

Neon – Vibrant, vivacious, bright, colorful, noticeable, not to be ignored.

Neon colors are fun and over-the-top, whether on clothing, lamps, furniture and signs. What’s the number one sign that neon garments simply glow? You can’t help but notice them, and once you see a neon outfit, you can’t stop staring.

Bright neon delight!

Neon Fun Fact: Neon is a chemical element with symbol Ne and atomic number 10. It is in group 18 (noble gases) of the periodic table. Neon is a colorless, odorless, inert monatomic gas under standard conditions, with about two-thirds density of air.

Put an air of flair in your step when you step out draped in knock-out neon!

Neon colored clothing is fashionable and fabulous fun. Don’t dress in neon if you want to blend into the crowd or not be seen. If covered in neon colors, you’ll be the stand out fashion queen.

Create a neon scene!

The majority of the colors that make great pastels (softer, muted tones) are the same colors that simply stun when put into neon. Think shocking pink, green, orange, blue, red and yellow. What pastels soften, neon brings out to the brightest of bolds!

Neon Clothing – Dazzling and never dull!

Neon Fun Fact: Neon is the second-lightest noble gas, after helium. It glows reddish-orange in a vacuum discharge tube. Neon has the lowest liquid range of any element and has over 40 times the refrigerating capacity of liquid helium, and three times that of liquid hydrogen.

If you ever doubt the eye-catching effect of neon colors, think neon signs. Pop, sizzle, fizz! A rainbow of color whiz!

Nifty in neon!

Neon is rare on Earth, found in the Earth’s atmosphere at 1 part in 55,000, or 18.2 ppm by volume, or 1 part in 79,000 of air by mass. It comprises a smaller fraction in the crust. Neon is industrially produced by cryogenic fractional distillation of liquefied air.

Neon Fun Fact: On August 17, 2015, based on studies with the Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer (LADEE) spacecraft, NASA scientists reported the detection of neon in the exosphere of the moon.

Neon clothes are so bright and brilliant that they can carry color waves to the moon and back (figuratively speaking, of course). Okay, they dazzle so much that it merely seems that way.

Neon is often used in signs because it produces the unmistakable bright reddish-orange light. Although still referred to as “neon”, other sign colors are generated with different noble gases or by varied colors of fluorescent lighting.

Light up the streets when you walk out in nifty, noticeable neon!

Neon – not to be mistaken for boring!

Neon Fun Fact: Both neon gas and liquid neon are relatively expensive – for small quantities, the price of liquid neon can be more than 55 times that of liquid helium gas. The reason for neon’s expense is the rarity of neon, which unlike helium, can only be obtained from air.

The triple point temperature of neon (24.5561 K) is a defining fixed point in the International Temperature Scale of 1990.

On a fashion scale of 1 to 10 to measure cheery garment fun, neon fabrics and neon colors always rate high and cannot be outdone!

Neon Compounds: Neon is the first p-block noble gas. Neon is generally considered to be inert. No true neutral compounds of neon are known. However, the ions Ne, NeAr, NeH and HeNe have been observed from optical and mass spectrometric studies, and there are some unverified reports of an unstable hydrate.

For all the scientists and chemistry buffs, I hope you relate to all the Neon Fun Facts. For styling fashionistas, I hope the Neon Fun Facts have taught you some interesting tidbits and opened your eyes to the fabulous, fantastic, fun fashion that is neon colors!

Neon clothes can be used to turn a bad mood to good, a sour moment to sweet, a rainy type day to a sunny day! Neon clothes bring out the inner child to come out and play!

In addition to the gorgeous neon colors that heighten the allure of fabric, neon is used in vacuum tubes, high-voltage indicators, lightning arrestors, wave meter tubes, television tubes, and helium-neon lasers.

“Whoa, your shirt is so bright I need sunglasses.”

“Dressed in neon you look as syrupy sweet as molasses.”

“Neon colors rock. They look great when worn by lads and lasses.”

“I love my neon pants in blue, orange and pink.”

“Neon skinny jeans look good in all bright colors, I think.”

“My one bit of advice is don’t wear neon if you want to hide.”

“Hide? Darling, I want to be seen by all every time I step outside.”

Neon: Highly noticeable. May the neon lights and the neon force be with you!
