GET YOUR FASHION FIX DRESSED IN ANIMAL PRINTS! ALWAYS A FASHION HIT!

Animals. Ahh. Let’s give a round of applause to animals, as most everyone loves all, or at least some, of the earth’s finest animals. And, as I’ve stated with many things, the fashion industry also adores animals, finding a way for you to take your favorite animals with you every step of the way, throughout your day. How? By dressing in awesome animal prints. (Synthetic preference, of course)!

For the most part, the three animals whose beautiful coats get copied onto exquisite fashion fabrics are the tiger, the leopard and the zebra.

Tiger Fun Fact: The tiger is the largest cat species, most recognizable for their pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside.

Leopard Fun Fact: The leopard is one of the five “big cats” in the genus Panthera, spotted with reddish and black fur. The leopard is a member of the family Felidae with a wide range in sub-Saharan Africa and parts of Asia.

Zebra Fun Fact: The zebra is a member of the horse family, united by its distinctive black and white striped coats. Their stripes come in different patterns, unique to each individual zebra.

Find your fashion flair in the fabulous animal prints you wear!

Animal prints in fashion are easily distinguishable from other materials. These prints work well on all garments, including dresses, pants, tops, shoes, handbags and accessories.

Are you in the mood to gaze at exotic animals but don’t have time to hit the zoo or animal park? Why not dress in the festive clothing…show your personal style and set yourself apart!

Tiger Fun Fact: The tiger’s closest living relatives are thought to be the lion, leopard and jaguar, all of which are classified under the genus Panthera. Genetic analysis indicates the tiger diverged more than 2.88 million years ago.

Leopard Fun Fact: The leopard is distinguished by its well-camouflaged fur, opportunistic hunting behavior, broad diet and strength, as well as its ability to adapt to various habitats ranging from the rainforest to steppe, including arid and montane areas, and its ability to run at speeds of 36 miles per hour (58) kilometers.  Go leopard baby, go! Take that Gold Medal you’ve earned…for your run…and have some leaping, slinky fun!

Zebra Fun Fact: The unique stripes of zebras, along with their black and white coats, makes them one of the animals most familiar to people. Zebras occur in a variety of habitats, such as grasslands, savannas, woodlands, scrublands, mountains and coastal hills.

When dressed and adorned in alluring animal prints, you’ll get fashion chills and thrills!

Zebra print garments are striking, with their horizontal stripes and dramatic black and white flair. The name ‘zebra’ in English dates back to c. 1600, from Italian zebra. Zebras evolved among the Old World horses within the last four million years. It has been suggested zebras are polyphyletic and that striped equids evolved more than once.

In addition to spotting zebra prints right away, tigers are among the most recognizable and popular of the world’s charismatic megafauna. Tigers have featured prominently in ancient mythology and folklore, and continue to be depicted in modern films and literature. The tiger is the national animal of Bangladesh, India, Malaysia and South Korea.

With their spotted coats, leopards are an animal of sheer awe and beauty. The leopard has relatively short legs and a long body with a large skull. The leopard is similar in appearance to the jaguar, but has a smaller, lighter physique.

Leave your house with a growl and a roar. When draped in sensational animal prints, you’ll hit a 100% fashion score!

Tiger Fun Fact: The earliest fossils of true tigers are from Java, and are between 1.6 and 1.8 million years old (far older than any of our animal print clothing will last)! Distinct fossils are known from their early and middle Pleistocene deposits in China and Sumatra. A subspecies called the Trinil tiger lived about 1.2 million years ago and is known from fossils found at Trinil in Java.

Zebra Fun Fact: There are three species of zebras: the plains zebra, the Grevy’s zebra and the mountain zebra. The plains zebra and the mountain zebra belong to the subgenus Hippotigris, but Grevy’s zebra is the sole species of the subgenus Dolichohippus.

Leopard Not So Fun Fact: Leopard populations are declining in large part because of their range. They are threatened by habitat loss and pest control. Leopard habitats are fragmented, and they are illegally hunted, so their pelts may be sold in wildlife trade for medicinal practices and decoration. Leopards have been extirpated in Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuwait, Syria, Libya, Tunisia and Morocco.

Although animal prints are extremely fashionable, gorgeous and fun to wear, remember synthetic animal print materials look as well as the real fur; everyone should care!

Animal prints create a fashion frenzy and a major fashion trend. Let your animal (and your animal prints) remain your friend to the end!

“Grrrr and growl. Your adorable fashion print dress makes me want to howl.”

“Howl? But I am wearing the fierce fashion tiger print…not the owl.”

“Then perhaps you can give me a roar so loud it rings down the street.”

“I let my over-the-top tiger print do the shouting for me to all I meet.”

“I believe your clothing says ‘I am to be noticed…strong and confident!'”

“The money I forked over for this fabulous tiger dress was dollars well spent!”

Animal Prints: Haute couture clothing, for sure!
