INDEPENDENCE DAY IN THE UNITED STATES!

In the United States, Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. The Fourth of July is celebrated with many events such as fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, concerts, baseball games and other ceremonies. These events celebrate the history, government and traditions of the United States, and are depicted with the colors red, white and blue to honor the American Flag.

Independence Day is the only holiday that celebrates the United States of America and is a national holiday marked by patriotic displays. Many celebrations take place outdoors and the Fourth of July is a national and federal holiday. Some politicians appear at public events to praise the nation’s heritage, laws, history, society and people.

The Fourth of July signifies the day in 1776 that the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress. Many people take fun advantage of the holiday by making long weekends to gather with family and friends. How about enjoying some exciting Fourth of July hobbies such as swimming, fishing, boating, sunbathing, playing sports or just kicking back and relaxing?

In many ways, the Fourth of July celebrations are all about the night with elaborate firework shows, music, food and fun. Fireworks are set off in neighborhoods, parks, fairgrounds and stadiums.

Another fun thing to do on the Fourth of July? Bake red, white and blue desserts, such as cakes and cookies!

Dress and decorate in red, white and blue perfection and enjoy your Fourth of July celebration!
